We are challenging all children at Two Rivers Primary School to read 10 things over the February half term (Fri 13th Feb - Sun 22nd Feb). This is one read per day, over the half term break!
The PTA are arranging this challenge to raise funds to buy new books for the school library. We will therefore be inviting children to raise sponsorship for this challenge.
Children will receive a paper sponsorship form and envelope to bring home and sponsorship monies can be collected by cash or an online payment. All forms must be returned to reception between 23rd and 27th February with any collected sponsorship cash in their envelope.
We also have some fabulous incentives for the children:
Completion of 10 reads - receive a certificate! All children, regardless of amount of money raised, will receive a certificate if they complete the 10 reads. Please ensure that their completed form, to show that the 10 reads have been completed, is returned to reception. Please ensure that their name & class is clear on the form, so we can provide them with a certificate.
Fundraising of £5 - receive a bookmark! If the child raises £5 or more, they will receive a bookmark as a thank you.
Fundraising of £15 - a book will be dedicated to your child in the school library! If the child raises £15 or more, one of the new books for the library will have a sticker at the front to say ‘proudly donated by (CHILD NAME) from (CLASS) in 2026’. Children can have fun searching for their books in the library and will support the gift of reading for future years!
Fundraising of £30 - receive a stationery set! If the child raises £30 or more, they will receive a small stationery set including a notepad/colouring book and pencils.
Finally there will be a prize draw where lucky winners will also receive a £10 book voucher to spend at the school book fair on world book day on Thursday 5th March.
Please ensure the child’s name and class is included on all sponsorship forms and online payments so we can make sure they receive their well earned prize!
We hope the children enjoy this challenge to celebrate the joy of reading and to raise funds for the school library.
Thanks from your PTA!
