Wear Blue For Rescue

This September, help raise funds for Battersea’s Wear Blue for Rescue. By coming together and showing your love for rescue, your school can have a memorable day raising vital funds for Battersea and learn about all the wonderful rescue dogs and cats who really need a second chance in life, both here in the UK and around the world.
Getting involved can be as easy as putting on your best blue outfit, or as big as painting the school blue! No matter what you choose to do, know that every penny will make a huge difference to the lives of rescue dogs and cats, everywhere.

Battersea’s favourite fundraising ideas for schools include:

A Non-Uniform Day
Ask everyone to donate £2 and wear their best blue outfit to school.
A Bake Sale
Whip up some delicious blue treats.
Arts and Crafts
Unleash your creativity and be inspired by the colour blue.

When you sign up to fundraise through Superkind, Battersea’s fundraising team will get in touch with all the materials you need to make your event a success, and plenty of information about the dogs and cats you’ll be helping.

By raising vital funds, your school can help Battersea:

  • Be here for every dog and cat, regardless of their age, breed or medical condition and without any judgement.
  • Give dogs and cats the love and expert care they need, and find them new homes that are just right for them.
  • Share their knowledge and expertise with other rescues across the UK and around the world, improving the lives of dogs and cats, everywhere.
  • Offer online training and advice to dog and cat owners wherever they are, and campaign for dogs and cats whenever their voices need to be heard.

Or Raise Awareness...

We would love it if dogs and cats never needed somewhere like Battersea. It’s important to know how to keep pets healthy, safe and happy. You can start by asking the below questions in the classroom:

  • Does anyone have a pet? What words would you use to describe their character and quirks?
  • Talk about what it means to be responsible for a pet. What are some daily tasks that people need to do to take care of their dogs or cats?
  • Explore how animals might look if they are scared, lonely, or excited. How can we tell what an animal is feeling, and what can we do to make them feel safe and happy?
  • Explore why exercise and play are important for dogs and cats. What are some fun activities that pets might enjoy?
We want to make your fundraising a huge success, so if you have any questions about raising funds for Battersea, please get in touch with the team directly at doyourownthing@battersea.org.uk.
Lighting Bolt

All donations are processed by our established partners Stripe and Charities Trust. SuperKind never handles donations.

Lock

Our payment partner, Stripe, deducts a processing fee of 1.2% + 20p from all donations made with a major UK or EU card (other cards, including American Express, may incur higher fees). This goes straight to them (not to SuperKind) and is the lowest fee on the market. 100% of the net amount goes to your chosen charity.

Heart Hug

Unlike other fundraising platforms, SuperKind is a social enterprise. We are dedicated to inspiring and empowering the next generation of change-makers.
