ARC are fundraising for a cause close to their hearts. Joules is a family friend of the members of staff working in ARC and shared the story with the students after the #dancing for joules trend took tik tok by storm.
The students wanted be proactive and show there support by hosting a Christmas fundraiser in ARC for members of school staff to attend and show their support. They set up a hot chocolate station with cakes and biscuits and took many orders throughout the day both from staff who came over and staff that couldn't get out of a lesson. In addition to this they spent weeks beforehand handcrafting friendship bracelets, cards, decorations and other things to be able to sell at the fundraiser. Taking orders of bracelets from across the school staff and getting each one made themselves by hand.
They organised the whole event themselves, from advertising and designing a campaign poster to send out to staff, to making the goods to sell. They spent their day setting up, making hot chocolates for all the staff and clearing down, as well as delivering orders they had received. They could openly talk about the cause they were raising awareness for and worked incredibly hard across the time.
