Premadhar which means “Loving Support”, is a creche which cares for the children of domestic workers living in the slums, while their parents are at work. Premadhar began with 18 children and 3 caretakers on 14th October 1993. Now we have 50 children from the nearby slums. All the children who come to our crèche are from the lower socio-economic strata of society. AIM: To help these children to have a happy and safe early childhood and develop the skills necessary to enroll in primary school. To facilitate empowerment of women. Members of the congregation are involved in community and parish based programmes in great britain. these include counselling, visiting the elderly, sick and dying, working with the homeless, helping immigrants to adapt to their new environment and working with young adults. the charity also owns and operates st christina’s preparatory school which educates children between the ages of 3 and 11.
