For the last two years, the Artis Foundation have been coming into Drayton Park for a day each week, teaching drama to our Year 2 to 5 classes.

Their approach is fabulous, closely linking to our termly topic themes and our literacy writing teaching. Artis drama lessons are now thoroughly embedded in the school's curriculum. The children love the classes with their specialist drama teacher; the lessons enhance their learning progression and build their self-confidence, most specifically in oracy, developing their vocabulary and helping them to express themselves clearly and articulately. 

Sadly, the grant that has funded this amazing programme is no longer able to. With resources stretched, Drayton Park needs to raise £7,500 to fund the continuation of Artis drama teaching for the school year 2025-26
