We are excited to let you know that we will be holding a sponsored walk as part of our ongoing efforts to promote outdoor learning, healthy activity, and to make the most of our beautiful countryside setting.
The walk will take place on Friday 24th October, with children departing school at approx. 9.30am and returning in time for lunch. We will follow a route of approximately 1.5 miles around the local area. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to enjoy nature, get active, and work together towards a shared goal. On the day the children will need to wear their PE kit, trainers or wellies, depending on the weather, a coat and also ensure they bring a water bottle to school. Refreshments will be provided for the children at the halfway point.
All children will be accompanied by school staff, but we will also need some additional help to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely. We are looking for 3 parent helpers per class to walk with the children plus a few extra volunteers to help us line the route at key points. If you are available to support us on the day, please let the school office know.
To help raise funds through this activity, the school will be sending home sponsor forms along with information on how to make donations or sponsor payments. Every contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated and will go towards supporting valuable school initiatives and resources.
