3.1. the objects of the society (the ‘objects’) are: 3.1.1. to establish and carry on schools which take account of the work of educational reformers, are prepared to initiate or co-operate in educational research, and encourage the fullest development of whatever talents their members possess without resort to pressures which might upset the proper balance of the physical, the emotional and the intellectual aspects of the individual; 3.1.2. to promote the advancement of educational science in all or any of its branches by the diffusion of knowledge relating thereto; 3.1.3. to establish colleges or departments for students of education which shall be directed expressly to equip teachers qualified to undertake posts in the schools or in schools with similar aims independently of the society.
