Jeans for Genes is an annual fundraising campaign that raises money to support children and families affected by genetic conditions .
Money raised supports projects that provide nursing care, equipment, counselling, and activity weekends for children with genetic conditions.
1 in 25 children I the UK are affected by a genetic condition (that's 1 in every classroom on average ) and we need your schools help in raising awareness and holding a Jeans for Genes day this September

The support we have had from over the years has been truly amazing and we really have been able to change lives. We have been able to provide specialist nursing care to children affected by genetic disorders, fund life changing research into gene therapy and provide grants to hundreds of charities who support children with genetic conditions.
Having your staff and pupils holding a Jeans for Genes Day and donning their denim really does make a difference. You can help support thousands of children across the UK when they need it most
Please make Jeans for Genes one of the charities your school supports this year and join in this September. Jeans for Genes week in 2026 is Monday the 14th to Sunday the 20th September, with Jeans for Genes Day on Friday the 18th September.

Our new 2026 materials include new assembly presentations, fun classroom activities and curriculum based materials that can be used as part of your lesson plans. You can find our educational Materials here Free Genetics Educational Materials
