Happy Shoesday is back on Tuesday 19 May 2026!

As part of Walk to School Week, we’re inviting schools across the country to take part in a feel‑good fundraising day that celebrates walking, wellbeing, and creativity. Pupils simply wear any shoes that make them feel happy—bright, bold, sparkly, comfy, sporty, or wonderfully weird—and donate what they can.

Every school keeps 50% of the money raised, and the other 50% goes to Living Streets, helping us continue our vital work making streets safer, healthier and more walkable for all.

Why take part?
  • Fun, easy, and impactful: Happy Shoesday is a simple way to boost school spirit, celebrate individuality, and support a brilliant cause.
  • Keep half your fundraising: Your school receives 50% to invest in your own programmes, projects, or pupil wellbeing initiatives.
  • Champion walking, cycling, scooting and wheeling: By taking part, your school helps promote healthy travel habits and supports children to be more active every day.
  • Support safer streets: Funds for Living Streets help campaign for better crossings, clearer pavements, cleaner air, and safer routes to school.
How to get started:
  1. Sign up and set up a fundraising page. The form is set to raise money for Living Streets, click the blue ‘Add another charity’ button to add your school too (& get in touch with SuperKind if you can’t see your school listed).
  2. To help you spread the word to families and encourage them to support your event, we will send you:
    1. Email copy for parents
    2. Social media copy
    3. Content for your newsletter
    4. A poster to display
