On Friday 22nd May we will be hosting a Pop Up Community Breakfast and Coffee Café at the front of the school, open to staff, parents, carers and other family members between 8am and 10am.
We will be holding this event in memory of Mrs Tina Dennehy, who worked at St Matthew’s for the last 30 years in a variety of roles, most recently working in Around the Clock, Breakfast and After School Club. Tina was diagnosed with cancer just before Easter and fought it for a few short weeks. The Keech Hospice supported her family during this time and we are raising money to support the hospice's work…sadly none of us know when we might need them as Tina’s family have.
This will also be a non-uniform day for the children, they can choose wear normal clothes, wear Mrs Dennehy’s favourite colour sapphire blue or theme their outfit around the colours of one of the Rugby 6 Nations Flag colours, which Mrs Denneehy loved to watch:
At the Café you will be able to make cash purchases of:
There will be a seating area at the front of the school and we invite you to take a moment after dropping your children off to join us for a hot drink and some food before you carry on with the rest of your day.
The money raised by our community breakfast, and the children's non-uniform day will help Keech, which is such a vital charity in our local area, to continue to deliver the same support and care to others as they did for Mrs Denneehy
Many thanks
