As we know, Avonwood is a beautifully designed new build school. Whilst we are very grateful to have this space, the one thing the school was not designed in mind with was a library.

For many years we have made do with a small room and part of our corridor - but for a school with over 450 children it's not fit for purpose. We are hoping to convert an empty classroom into a new purpose built library.

As a school where 'Reading for Pleasure' is such an important aspect of school life, having a library that matches this vision seems fitting.

We are therefore fundraising to help fund the £26,000 installation project, with further funds needed to fill the new library with books. We have £20,000 ringfenced so far, with every extra penny helping bring this ambitious project to life.
