Langton School Welly Walk 2026

The children from Langton School are getting ready to take part in their annual Welly Walk around the tracks and fields close to school, enjoying the local countryside whilst raising money for new playtime equipment and towards developing the school library. 

Every child in school will benefit from every penny raised, so we are very grateful for your support - every donation makes a huge difference. 

It isn’t called the Welly Walk for nothing, it can get muddy, but that adds to the fun. Foss Class will walk 1.5 miles while Ouse and Rye Class will tackle the enormous hill that nobody likes until they get to the top, covering 2.5 miles in total. Reception and nursery children will not miss out, they’ll do laps around the playground to build up those little legs to get them round the longer walks in future years.

We hope everyone enjoys themselves and appreciates how lucky we are to be able to do this. We are very grateful to the local farmers and landowners for allowing access - being a rural village school has lots of advantages.
