Who are we?
Refugees and asylum seekers are among the most vulnerable members of society. Every year thousands of people arrive in the UK to seek refuge.
NCG is here to welcome them into our communities and provide the services they need the most.
From immigration advice to youth clubs to counselling to English classes (and so much more), we're committed to supporting refugees & asylum seekers.
We not only stand with them, but we've strived to place their voices at the forefront of our work, with a team full of lived experience of immigration.
Who do we help?
Some of our most vulnerable clients are asylum seekers, living in hotels and prevented from working.
It would be hard enough to get by having newly arrived in a foreign country, but surviving on just £9.45 a week and facing isolation only make things harder.
We know there is so much love and compassion in our borough and country, but we know from the conditions our clients face here, they might not feel that way.
Where would my donations go?
Your donations will go directly to our Hardship Fund, which helps us provide frontline support for asylum seekers & refugees.
With your generosity, we could provide school uniforms for refugee kids without parents, and nappies & formula milk for new mothers.
Other costs we help cover include prescription medicine and travel expenses.
Sometimes it's easy to take for granted what we have. Even a small donation could provide some of these same basic necessities for our clients.
How you can support New Citizens’ Gateway:
You could help us raise money to help refugees and asylum seekers! Could you do a sponsored walk, swim or silence?
Spread the word about what the difficulties refugees & asylum seekers face, and how NCG helps!
We also work with young asylum seekers in hotels, running fun youth activities. If you would like to lend a helping hand, get in touch with Farida@ncgateway.org.uk
