(1) to provide relief for those seeking asylum and those granted refugee status and their dependants who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress; (2) to develop the capacity and skills of socially disadvantaged communities in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society; (3) to advance the education of all ages of the public in the safe use, re-use and maintenance of bicycles; and (4) the protection and preservation of the environment in particular by saving bicycles from landfill and promoting bicycle re-use and recycling.
