As a Zone 2 London school with limited outdoor space, Ashmead has been fortunate to provide its children with the joy of imaginative play in the cherished treehouse and treewalk, nestled among the trees. For over a decade, these spaces have been a source of wonder and creativity. Sadly, due to irreparable decay and accessibility issues, the beloved treewalk has had to be removed, leaving a significant void in our play area.
We intend to raise £50,000 to replace the treewalk with a new, interactive, and engaging play area that reflects the school’s creativity and unique character. This new space will foster active and imaginative play, recreating the experience of being among the trees while providing a calm, safe, and secure environment where children can thrive. Additionally, this project celebrates the school’s 50th anniversary, creating a lasting legacy for current and future generations of children and families.
