The organisation’s objects are to promote the following purposes for the benefit of the public:
1) the relief of those in need by reason of facing disadvantage through age, disability, financial hardship, ill-health, poverty or other disadvantage.
2) the prevention of, and relief from, poverty, including the difficulties and disadvantages arising from poverty.
3) the prevention and relief from sickness, disease and suffering (whether emotional, mental or physical) and assistance in recovery for both the individual and their carer.
4) the advancement of education from the promotion, sustainment and increase in knowledge, skills and expertise.
5) the promotion of citizenship and community involvement through volunteering, community capacity building and peer support and the strengthening of the voluntary sector.
6) the promotion of equality and diversity for individuals and communities.
7) the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time pursuits in the interests of social welfare and the reduction of social isolation.
8) the promotion of such other charitable purposes as trustees may from time to time decide.
