The prevention of knife crime and the protection of people from knife crime, in particular but not exclusively by: (1) raising awareness among children, young people and others within the community concerning of knife crime and the impact on those affected by it; (2) the provision of support and mentorship to children and young people to help enable them to make positive choices in relation to the dangers and impact of knife crime; and (3) the provision of support for victims of knife crime and their families and friends.
