The charity is established for charitable objects and purposes only and (without prejudice to or limitation of the generality of the foregoing words):
1 to relieve the patients and otherwise to support the work of countess mountbatten house, west end, southampton, generally and in particular in offering palliative care, pain relief, support and friendship for the terminally ill, offering relief to relatives by offering short-term residential care for patients and assisting families and carers with the care of the sufferer and offering support throughout an illness and after a person’s death
2 to provide additional services and facilities for patients, their families and carers and staff of countess mountbatten house, west end, southampton.
3 for the advancement of palliative care through the provision of funds and facilities for research, educational facilities and training.
