At Dads Rock, we believe that when dads are happy and confident, children are happy and confident too! By supporting us, you’re helping dads join fun playgroups, workshops, and get extra support when they need it. This means dads can spend more time having fun, learning new skills, and building great relationships with their children—so families can feel stronger and closer together.

Lots of parenting groups are mainly for mums, but Dads Rock makes sure dads are supported and celebrated too! We welcome all dads and male carers—no matter their background—because every family is different and every child deserves to feel loved and included.

How you can support Dads Rock:

When it comes to raising money, there are loads of different ways that you can support Dads Rock. 

Here are some ideas 💡

🎨 Creative & Crafty

  • Rock Painting & Sale – children paint “dads rock” themed stones and sell them at school fairs, community halls, or online to friends/family.

  • Art Auction – kids create drawings/paintings of their dads or families and auction them.

  • Craft Stall – friendship bracelets, keyrings, or Father’s Day cards handmade by children.

🎵 Talent & Performance

  • Mini Concert or Talent Show – young people showcase music, comedy, dance, or spoken word, with donations for entry.

⚽ Active & Outdoors

  • Sponsored Walk / Cycle / Scoot – distance-based challenges (e.g. scoot 5 miles for dads!).

  • Family Sports Day – tug of war, sack race, and “dad & child” challenges, with entry fees or sponsorship.

  • Obstacle Course – children design a fun course for others to complete for donations.

🍰 Food & Fun

  • Bake Sale – with child-made treats like “Rocky Road for Dads Rock.”

  • Pancake Flip Challenge – who can flip the most pancakes in a minute? Small entry fee to take part.

  • Smoothie Stand – healthy drinks made and sold by kids at a local event.

🎲 Games & Challenges

  • Board Game Tournament – entry fee to play favourites like chess, Connect 4, or Jenga.

  • Guess the Sweets in the Jar – easy for younger children to run at school or clubs.

  • LEGO Build Challenge – kids pay to enter and show off their creations.

📱 Digital & Modern

  • Gaming Marathon (older kids/teens) – stream online and raise sponsorships.

  • Quiz – kids help design questions (maybe themed around dads, families, or superheroes).

🎉 Seasonal / Special

  • Father’s Day Gift Wrap Stall – young people wrap gifts at school or community spaces for a small donation.

  • Christmas Carols / Summer Fair Stalls – festive fundraising opportunities.
