I) to further the interests of deaf-blind persons by every means and in every way open to it. deaf-blind to include those substantially deprived of sight and hearing. ii) to help the deaf-blind to live as useful members of any community in which they may find themselves and whenever and wherever possible to encourage and support contact and friendship between the deaf-blind and sighted hearing persons. iii) to build or purchase and maintain flats, guesthouses sheltered and other accommodation for the benefit and use of deaf-blind people. iv) to encourage the sighted hearing public at large to be aware of the needs and capabilities of the deaf-blind. v) to provide and encourage provision of facilities for the help, comfort and instruction of the deaf-blind including the establishment of regional offices divisions and clubs for the deaf-blind.
