Our vision
The Fawcett Society campaigns for gender equality and women’s rights. Our vision is a society in which women and girls, no matter who they are, are equal and truly free to be who they want to be creating a stronger, happier, better future for us all.
What we do
We’ve been advancing women’s equality since 1866 when at just 19, Millicent Fawcett collected signatures on a petition for women’s votes. She went on to lead the constitutional suffrage campaign and made this cause her lifetime’s work, securing equal voting rights 62 years later.
Today we continue her legacy of fighting sexism and gender inequality through hard-hitting research. Our national campaigns shape the debate and drive change - and they are only made possible through the support of our members.
How you can support The Fawcett Society:
Young people can support our work and join us as we fight to end gender inequality. By raising money for Fawcett, our researchers can continue to work hard to gather facts and evidence and our campaigners will then use this evidence to spread the word about how to create a more equal society. We are working hard to ensure your future is more equal!
You can also use our reports to create your own campaigns for change in your schools and communities.
