To benefit the local community by establishing an effective re-settlement service for convicted offenders and complementing such services where they already exist and co-operating with other agencies providing similar services and in particular (but without prejudice to the generality thereof):-
(1) collaborating with and partnering the national offender management service;
(2) engaging members of local communities by encouraging them to respond on the basis of reconciliation thereby reducing crime and the fear of crime; and
(3) developing an holistic approach to the care and support of ex-offenders and their families by engaging society and the local churches and other faith based communities.
