To advance the education of disadvantaged pupils at schools within the london area by providing programmes and trained volunteers to assist in the provision of facilities for education at such schools; to provide programmes and trained volunteers for recreation or leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of those persons who have need of such programmes by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances; to relieve financial hardship among people living in london by providing such persons with goods or services which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means; and to provide grants to other charitable organisations promoting similar objects within the london community.
