(a) the relief of persons who are, or who are suspected of being, affected by motor neurone disease and its associated conditions (“the beneficiaries”) by seeking to ensure that such persons and their families and carers receive such help and assistance as is calculated to relieve their need.
(b) to commission, undertake, promote, monitor and manage research into all aspects of motor neurone disease and its associated conditions and causes and work towards their prevention and cure and to publish and disseminate the useful results for the benefit of the public.
