Our Mission
We believe that every young carer should have the same opportunities as their peers.
A young carer is a child, just like any other. The only difference is that young carers are responsible for the care of at least one member of their family, though they may be as young as 5 years old themselves.
This can make life harder, especially when trying to balance school, friendships, and personal time.
Our mission is to support, recognise, and empower young carers so they don’t have to face these challenges alone. We want young carers to feel valued, understood, and given the opportunities they deserve to enjoy life, succeed in school, and plan for their future.

What We Do
We support young carers through a variety of programmes designed to enhance their wellbeing, education, and personal development.
The Level Up Programme
Education can be challenging for young carers who juggle schoolwork with caring responsibilities. Our Level Up Programme provides schools with the resources and training they need to identify, support, and empower young carers in the classroom.
The Making Memories Programme
All young carers deserve time to be children. Our Making Memories Programme offers activity days, residential trips, and social events where young carers can take a break, make friends, and build confidence in a fun, supportive environment.
Employability Programme
We help young carers prepare for the future by offering skills workshops, career mentoring, and work experience opportunities. This programme equips young carers with the confidence and knowledge they need to pursue their dreams.
Advocacy & Awareness
We work to ensure young carers' voices are heard. Through our advocacy work, we engage with businesses, schools, and policymakers to raise awareness of young carers’ needs and create meaningful change in society.

Why Young Carers Need Your Support
Young carers take on responsibilities beyond their years, often balancing school, work, and caring for a loved one. Without proper support, they are more likely to struggle with education, employment, and mental health.
By supporting MYTIME, you’re ensuring that young carers are seen, heard, and given the opportunities they deserve to build bright futures.
How you can support MYTIME Young Carers:
There are lots of ways young people can help MYTIME Young Carers and make a difference!
1. Fundraise in Fun Ways
There are loads of fun and easy ways to help! You could:
Do a sponsored challenge – Try a gaming marathon, a sponsored silence, or a dance-a-thon!
Organise a bake sale – Everyone loves cake! Sell homemade treats at school or in your community.
2. Spread the Word
Not everyone knows about young carers, but you can help change that!
Talk to your friends, teachers, and family about young carers and why they need support.
Ask your school to get involved – Your school could support young carers by holding a fundraising day!
3. Get Involved in Your School or Community
Start a Young Carers Club – If your school doesn’t already support young carers, why not help start a club? It could be a space where young carers meet, chat, and support each other.
