2. objects
2.1 the objects of the charity are:
2.1.1 the advancement of education;
2.1.2 the relief and prevention of poverty; and
2.1.3 the furtherance of such other charitable purposes as the trustees shall from time to time declare;
in particular, but not exclusively, for the benefit of young people.
2.2 for the avoidance of doubt, the objects of the charity set out in article 2.1 shall include:
2.2.1 the advancement of the education of young people, particularly needy young people, in accordance with the “head, heart and hands” educational philosophy of johann pestalozzi, in particular but not exclusively by the selection of young people as students; and
2.2.2 the provision of support (whether financial or otherwise) to students or former students (including the awarding of further grants or bursaries) including for the purposes of establishing charities in the uk or equivalent public benefit organisations overseas.
2.3 “young people” means young people of any nationality whether living in the uk or elsewhere in the world who are 25 years of age or younger.
2.4 “students” means young people in receipt of a scholarship (or similar) from the charity from time to time.
