the objects of the cio are the advancement of education of students at saint cuthbert?s society for the public benefit by:
3.1 promoting the interests and welfare of students at saint cuthbert?s society during the course of study and representing, supporting and advising students;
3.2 being the recognised representative channel between students and saint cuthbert?s society and any other external bodies; and
3.3 providing social, sporting, cultural and recreational activities and forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of its students.
3.4 nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005] and [section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008]
