About us
Here at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, we have dedicated the last 60 years to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing seal pups from around the coastline.
Each winter, we rescue between 50-70 seals pups, with risks from increasing storms, marine litter, disturbance, and separation from mum; the need to rescue is becoming greater every year.
We also offer a permanent home to seals that cannot be released due to long-term medical issues and need medication for the rest of their lives, such as Ray, who was so battered by waves during one storm that he endured brain damage, leaving him unable to survive in the wild.
How you can support Sea Life – Cornish Seal Sanctuary:
There are lots of ways you can raise funds for the sanctuary. This could include putting on a fun event in your local town or village or being sponsored for completing a challenge such as a marathon, swim or even a day-long silence! Utilise your skills; why not try baking or showcasing your musical talents?
