(1) the provision of holidays and recreational facilities for children primarily from the north west of england, including counties on the boundaries (yorkshire, derbyshire, shropshire, staffordshire, and north wales), who have need of such facilities – either by reason of their youth, social, physical or economic circumstances, so that they may develop their physical, mental and spiritual capabilities and grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and their condition of life may be improved.
(2) where the trustees consider appropriate, and without detriment to the primary object in 1 above, provision of support to, and co-operation with, other charities based in the north west of england whose objects are to help children, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capabilities and grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and their condition of life may be improved.
