The Royal Parks are here for everyone and open to all. Across London, these beautiful parks provide much needed space for wellbeing. Many Londoners rely on them as their best and only access to green space.
Covering over 5,000 acres of historic parkland, the parks provide beautiful green spaces right in the heart of the capital where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. They're a place for you to relax and unwind, exercise and clear your mind. If it's history and architecture you're after, we have hundreds of buildings, statues and memorials, giving a fascinating insight into London's heritage.
The parks are also home to London’s wildlife, from deer, birds and bats to a range of mammals and marvellous bugs. They’re also special conservation areas full of ancient trees and rare species of fungi, grasses and wildflowers. These beautiful places are richly biodiverse and need protection.
We aim to protect, conserve, maintain and care for all aspects of the Royal Parks. We are committed to developing the biodiversity across all the parks and promoting sustainability in the management and use of each one.
The Royal Parks play an important role in managing the city’s pollution and it’s only with your support that we can continue to protect them.
