To preserve and protect the health of current and former service personnel of the british armed forces, in particular but not exclusively those with trauma related mental health conditions resulting from military service by:-
a) the training of assistance dogs for current and former service personnel of the british armed forces with mental health disabilities;
b) providing training, education and support services for the relief of mental health disabilities with the partnership of dogs;
c) improving quality of life and achieving greater independence by increasing confidence and self-esteem, bringing companionship, a sense of security and increased opportunities for social interaction;
d) developing links and fostering partnerships with other organisations who share the aims of supporting veterans and those promoting responsible dog ownership;
e) implement fundraising and educational initiatives in support of vwd objectives and operations; and
f) undertake any such work that the trustees may agree, from time to time, consistent with the overall objectives of the charity.
