The promotion and advancement of the physical and mental health and well-being of working families and carers;
the relief of working families in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage;
advancing public education (particularly amongst employers and employees) about all aspects of alternative and flexible working patterns and practices including by promoting and advancing better working practices and providing information, advice, guidance and counselling for people in work or seeking work including about their rights and entitlements and the provision of care for dependants (including those with disabilities); where ‘working families’ means working parents, grandparents and/or guardians or carers, and the children and other dependants for whom they are providing care or support
