We help every child own a book

Through our nationwide £1 book token exchange and direct community distribution programmes millions of children can choose a free book each year. By making books fun and accessible, we transform attitudes to reading encouraging more families, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to enjoy books together.

We make reading fun for everyone

Children get to choose a book they want to read, and take part in celebrations that inspire them to see reading differently – as a fun, entertaining and social thing to do. World Book Day brings together schools, publishers, authors, bookshops, libraries, retailers and lots of other partners. Because the brilliant thing is, reading for fun seriously transforms children’s lives.
