SuperKind: Funding for Southwark Schools

SuperKind is delighted to announce that thanks to the generous support of Delancey Real Estate, we have been given funding to offer full usage of the SuperKind platform and participation in The Social Impact Schools Award for free to 20 schools in Southwark.

Superkind & the Social Impact Schools Award

SuperKind is the social action platform for schools. Our Social Impact Schools Award provides a framework and resources for teaching active citizenship, character development, and social action in an engaging and meaningful way. It also recognizes and celebrates schools’ dedication to social action and charity work. Almost 1,000 schools across the country are taking part in the Award this year. Full information on the award can be found here.

There is usually a charge for the Award, however SuperKind work hard to find funders to ensure that there is never a financial barrier to schools who wish to take part, but cannot afford to entry fee. We are delighted that Delancey Real Estate have generously provided funding for 20 schools in Southwark to benefit from free entry to the Award.

90% of students who have used the SuperKind platform say that they feel empowered to change issues that they care about, compared to a national average of just 52%.

One Southwark school already benefiting from SuperKind’s resources is Surrey Square Primary School, who were recently awarded as Primary School of The Year at the National Teaching Awards. Through the platform, students have been empowered to lead impactful social action projects, making an incredible difference in their local community.
