This October half term, every minute counts.
Schools and children across the country are being invited to Go All In and help reach an ambitious national goal: One Million Minutes of Reading – while raising money to help more children discover the joy of reading.
Taking part is easy.
Set up your school’s fundraising campaign now, start collecting sponsorship, then get reading over half term.
1. Set up your school campaign
Create your school’s One Million Minutes fundraising campaign on SuperKind. It only takes a few minutes.
2. Get pupils and families involved
Supporters can donate directly to your school campaign, and pupils can also create their own individual fundraising pages to share with friends and family.
3. Start collecting sponsorship
There’s no need to wait until half term. Once your campaign is live, pupils can start asking friends and family to sponsor their reading challenge straight away.
4. Get reading!
During October half term, pupils read as many minutes as they can and help contribute towards our shared national goal of One Million Minutes.
Books, comics, magazines, football articles, recipes and audiobooks all count.
There’s no need to track or submit every individual minute — the aim is to get children reading, enjoying it and working together towards the One Million Minutes challenge.
One Million Minutes is a simple way to bring your school community together around reading while raising vital funds to help more children discover the joy of reading.
It gives pupils a challenge they can make their own, encourages families to get involved and turns reading into something children can feel part of together.
And because pupils can create their own individual fundraising pages, they can personally take ownership of their challenge and easily share it with grandparents, relatives, friends and family.

Create your school’s One Million Minutes campaign before half term and start inviting pupils and families to get involved.
Your school will have one central fundraising campaign, where supporters can donate directly.
Pupils can then choose to create their own individual fundraising pages linked to your school campaign (they just click ‘Join This Campaign’), set themselves a reading target and share their page with friends and family.
Then, over October half term, it’s time to get reading!
