The Friends of Lockington School are a fun and friendly group of volunteers where our main aim is to fund raise to help support, develop and continuously improve our school for the benefit of the students, now and into the future.
We aim to provide fun events and activities for not only members of the school community but the wider local communities too. As a small village school of less than 50 pupils in total we rely on the kindness, support & generosity of the wider community to assist us in our fundraising efforts, and hope that we put on events that are fun for all involved, bring people together and help to build friendships, strengthen bonds and share experiences.
The Friends of Lockington School (FOLS) support the School by providing funds for trips out for the students, buses for such trips, residential stays, treats including Christmas discos, pantomime trips, Easter & Christmas presents and improving the school with large items such as library revamps, new IT equipment & developing the sports & playground facilities. Our funding support is vital to reduce costs to parents for school trips/workshops and providing enhanced learning opportunities. We have recently started a large fundraising project to redevelop a large area of the playground, splitting our design into 3 phases, focusing fundraising efforts on each phase as a standalone project. We are proud that we will be improving the school not only for our own children, but for those joining the local community for many years.
