RHSB has successfully increased its charity fundraising since moving to a cashless model with SuperKind, as explained by Helen Flint, Finance Manager. The change has made it easier for parents to donate and for the school to manage and showcase their impact, with Gift Aid, flexible online giving, and automatic payments to charities helping to streamline the process and grow overall income.

Can you briefly describe your school’s approach to fundraising, and how it’s been influenced by your trust’s move to a cashless model?

We have always raised a lot of money for charity, but going cashless posed a problem because most of our donations previously came in as cash. Moving to SuperKind has enabled us not only to go cashless more easily, but also to give parents the ability to add Gift Aid to their donations.

How has fundraising at RHSB changed since you started using SuperKind?

Since we have been using SuperKind, our fundraising income has increased. This is not only because of Gift Aid, but also because parents give more as they can determine what amount they give to a given cause.

What originally attracted you to SuperKind?

After benchmarking many platforms, we found that the transaction fees were low in comparison with other sites. It also removes the final step of paying the money out to charities, as they now receive their funds automatically, through SuperKind.

What impact has SuperKind had on your pupils, staff, or wider school community?

It showcases what we raise for charity, all in one place. This makes it much easier to share and celebrate our fundraising with the whole school community.

Would you recommend SuperKind to other schools, and if so, why?

Yes, definitely. It provides a better audit trail, is more visual for parents and students, and pays charities directly, which makes the whole process much easier.
