Help Flourish grow: Investing in learning opportunities and inclusion for children with SEND

A little about us: Flourish is a new SEND provision within the ASSET Education Trust, designed to offer short-term, specialist support to primary aged children with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We provide a bespoke provision where we nurture potential and build resilience, supporting children to overcome barriers to learning.

A key element of our approach is providing a holistic, engaging and exciting learning environment. We believe that practical and outdoor learning plays a crucial role in supporting children's development, offering opportunities for social skills, sensory exploration, physical activity, and building confidence. We are fundraising to improve our indoor and outdoor learning environment.

You can help us by providing a financial donation or donating items from our wanted list. Financial donations will be spent solely on funding children focused opportunities such as trips, equipment, resources (baking, crafts etc), specialist workshops to visit our setting at Flourish.

These experiences are proven to benefit children by offering valuable extra curricular opportunities such as:

• Promoting Physical Development: Encouraging motor skills, coordination, and balance.
• Building Confidence and Resilience: Providing a safe space to challenge themselves and overcome barriers to learning.
• Supporting Sensory Integration: Offering varied tactile experiences.
• Enhancing Social Interaction: Creating opportunities for group play and communication, building resilience.
• Growing a Love of the Outdoors: Connecting children with nature and promoting well-being.

Current wish list of items provided by the Flourish children:

• parachutes, camouflage nets, large tyres.
• Gardening equipment, soil, plants.
• Dressing up outfits & accessories (particularly vets!)
• Basketball hoop
• Wooden stumps, logs and planks
• Role play toys, costumes, accessories e.g shops, doctors, vets.
• Small construction e.g lego, magnetic building blocks.

Your generous donation will contribute to creating these vital opportunities, helping us to further support these wonderful children on their journey to thriving.
