Honouring the Legacy of John West-Burnham

The life and transformative work of John West-Burnham profoundly touched and enriched the educational community. Following a special symposium held in his memory in November 2023, a dedicated group of friends, colleagues, and family came together to ensure his inspiring thinking and ideas continue to shape the future of education.

The first Inaugural John West-Burnham Memorial Lecture took place in November 2024 at the University of Bedfordshire. It featured a powerful address by Baroness Estelle Morris titled “Rediscovering Childhood and Community.”

Upcoming 2025 Memorial Lecture

We are delighted to announce that the 2025 John West-Burnham Memorial Lecture will be held at the University of Suffolk on November 20th. More details and registration information can be found here
