For the first time ever, Avonwood Primary School had to close its doors because of a heatwave. The second heatwave of the year and it’s not even July yet! 

We’re very fortunate to have a school where all the classrooms can be opened up to allow fresh air in, but when the temperatures outside are 33 degrees+ the classrooms are simply not equipped. 

Your support could help us kit out the school with fans and other equipment to keep the classrooms cooler and safer for everyone so our children can continue learning as the temperatures rise.
