Davenies – Children in Need

Beneficiary

Children in Need works to improve the lives of children and young people across the UK. Money raised helps provide essentials such as food, clothing and beds to children in need, as well as access to counselling, mentoring, specialist support for disabilities and illness, and programmes that offer safety, stability and opportunity. The demand for support is greater than ever, with the charity currently able to fund only 1 in 6 of the projects that apply.

The theme for Children in Need 2025 is Challenge Yourself to 25, encouraging children (and adults!) to take on a sponsored challenge linked to the number 25. This could be a 25-minute walk, baking 25 cupcakes, reading 25 pages, or even completing 25 acts of kindness. Families may wish to take part in a challenge at home on Friday 14th November, in line with the national event. Any funds raised can be donated to this page.

In school, on Friday 21st November, we will be holding our annual non-uniform day. Pupils are warmly encouraged to join in by wearing yellow, spotty, or colourful outfits inspired by Pudsey, with a suggested a donation of £2 per pupil.
