Our school field has always been a place where children can run, play, learn and enjoy being outdoors together, not forgetting the home of the famous Dean Valley ‘Daily Mile’.
Unfortunately, the field is currently severely waterlogged, making it unsafe and unusable for much of the year. To restore it, the field requires extensive drainage and repair work, which comes at a significant cost.
To help bring our field back to life, we are launching our £26 in 2026 Challenge. We are inviting each of our pupils to raise £26 during 2026 to support the repairs. It’s a simple goal that, together, can make a big difference.
Pupils will be encouraged to take part in small fundraising activities such as sponsored challenges, bake sales, talent show, or any creative ideas they can come up with. Every pound raised will go towards improving the field so it can once again be a safe, dry space for sports, playtimes, outdoor learning and school events.
With the support of our families, friends and wider community, we hope to transform the field back into a place where children can thrive outdoors.
We are hoping to raise money towards the £35,000 needed to complete the repairs.
Thank you for helping us make this happen.
