Year 1 ‘read your way’ challenge

Welcome to the Four Lanes Federation 'read your way' challenge!

The challenge?
You’ve got two weeks to read your way! At school, at home and on the move! From 15th May - 1st June.
This could be reading a whole book, reading in unusual places or a timed comic book bonanza! You can choose your own reading challenge.
We encourage you to use your imagination!

You can create your own sponsorship page to let friends and family know how you plan to 'read your way' and with the help of your grown-up ask your friends and family to sponsor your reading.

We’ll have prizes for the most funds raised by one class, the highest number of donations and a certificate for everyone taking part.

We’ll use the funds to buy new books for our school libraries and make them a magical place to learn.

Q. What does my child need to do for the challenge?
A. Easy, they just need to read their way! This could be setting themself a number of books or pages to read, a timed daily read or even reading in a crazy place every day. The main thing is your child gets to read in a way that motivates them, helping build a love of reading!
Q. How do we share progress being made?
A. You can share pictures or updates on your fundraising page if you would like to.
