Whitings Hill 2026 Challenge

This January, all children at Whitings Hill School are invited to take part in our 2026 Challenge, raising money for two important causes that help children in different ways.

What is the 2026 Challenge?

Each child is challenged to raise at least £26 during the month of January 2026.

They can choose how they raise their money - it might be:

  • Active or sporty Sponsored walk, run, skip, cycle etc
  • Creative Art, crafts, baking etc
  • Helpful Doing jobs for family or neighbours
  • Community-based Kindness challenges, litter picking etc
  • Other Go screen-free, reading challenge, something unique to you

Children can pick to do something they enjoy and feel proud of. All fundraising runs until 31st January, and the money raised will be split equally between our two chosen causes.

Who Are We Fundraising For?

The School OPAL Project (Outdoor Play and Learning)

OPAL is a project the school is launching to make playtimes even better for every child. It focuses on giving children more opportunities to play creatively, use their imagination, build friendships, and enjoy being active outdoors. Money raised will help fund staff training & initial equipment so that all children can benefit every day.

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice

Noah’s Ark is a local children’s hospice that helps babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell. They support families by giving care, comfort, fun activities, and special moments together. Fundraising helps Noah’s Ark provide nurses, therapists, play specialists and support for families when they need it most.
