Demelza – Trail with a Tale

We are delighted to support Demelza via this fundraising campaign. 'Trail with a Tale' is a sculpture trail that will be installed in Tunbridge Wells town centre.

Over the summer of 2025, impressive large and smaller animal sculptures designed by local schools and community groups will form a unique, family-friendly outdoor trail for all ages to enjoy. These sculptures can be found around Royal Tunbridge Wells, bringing together the community for an event they will not forget!

Small sculptures – adopted and decorated by schools, colleges and community groups will also join in on the fun as part of our learning programme. Children and staff at Hilden Grange have come together to create our beautiful ‘Hildy’. Each class or year group has decorated a scute on the shell and adults have gone dotty for Demelza. 

When can you see the trail? 

All sculpture locations will be listed on our Trail with a Tale Map, which will be available to purchase for a donation from Kidsbury in Royal Victoria Place, Ruby’s of London or The Lodge Coffee Shop. There will also be an activity book and merchandise to purchase for a donation. Sculptures will be in place from 11th July through to Monday 8^th September. 

How does this trail help Demelza?

Each community that designs a small sculpture is asked to raise a minimum of £1000.

Please save a day in your summer to visit the trail and look out for Hildy amongst all the other sculptures. Please help raise as much money as we can for this amazing charity.
