Run OLSJ Run!

Help our children learn better in the open. Let’s make an outdoor classroom!

Our Lady and St Joseph schoolchildren will be taking part in our second Run Kids Run challenge, which will be, once again, a 2km run around Highbury Fields (1km for Reception and younger). We’re raising money for our school's OUTDOOR CLASSROOM!

Last year we managed to raise funds beyond our target, which together with Run Kids Run sponsors' generous donation, went towards buying a new climbing frame and two smaller pieces of playground equipment that have been a tremendous success with the children. (See below.)

It’s our second year running now and we’re aiming to raise a total of £10,000 towards a new outdoor classroom, which will also serve as a playground shelter from sun and from rain. 

We know these are not easy times but we would be so grateful for as much as you and your friends and your neighbours and your family and your employers and everyone you can think of can give. As our Parents Association is now a registered charity, all donations by UK taxpayers can be gift-aided, so your gift will have extra value! Also, if we reach a participation of 30% or more of our pupils, Run Kids Run's sponsors will match-fund us up to £5,000! So that £5,000 -if we can only get there- along the participation and enthusiasm of our school community, may stack up to £10,000!

Please donate what you can and come along to Run Islington Run on Highbury Fields on Sunday 7th July 10am-12pm and cheer us all on. There are so many schools taking part, so many enthusiastic children, so many good causes! Thanks for all your help and RUN OLSJ RUN!
