Colour Run 2025

The SBA (St Benedict's School Association: Charity number 1104089) are raising much needed funds by hosting a sponsored colour run on 16th May 2025.  All children of the school have been invited to take part in this memorable event. 

The children will have the opportunity to complete 2 laps of the course which includes many obstacles such as balance beams, hopscotch, hula hoops etc WHILST our volunteers cover them in coloured powder. 

There will be an opportunity for families to take individual photos at the end of the event using a backdrop to show you the results of the colour run!

A bit about our charity..... The SBA is a group of parents, teachers and friends of the school who volunteer to organise fun events for the children at St Benedict's School.  Not only do the events provide fun and memorable moments for the children and their families, they raise funds which are used to enrich the opportunities at the school.  Some of our latest projects have been, making the play area safe for all year use, purchasing an outside table tennis table, providing every class with an interactive whiteboard, class furniture, art supplies, supporting school with supplies for experiments, audio equipment and lighting for the hall to be used for performances and school events and much more.

So what's next:  We have plenty of ideas to enhance our school, this event we are focusing our fundraising on our sensory garden/quiet area, updating the allotment and bringing colour into our newly refurbished play area.  We would like to make these areas bright and a wonderful sensory experience for children to enjoy.
