The Charity Committee is launching their final event of the year: The FUNtastic Challenge 40.
This is a two week long, at home event where children are tasked with completing as many of the 40 activities as they can between Wednesday 24th June and Sunday 5th July.
Challenges will range from physical fitness, such as completing as many star jumps as you can in 2 minutes, to helpful activities like doing the dishes, or creative tasks such as making a mini fact file.
The Charity Committee has come up with 40 different challenges and they feel that each completed challenge is worth 5p, meaning that if all 40 are completed, £2 will have been raised. However, it doesn’t stop there! They want children to take their sponsorship sheets to their family to see how many people will sponsor them. For example, if your child completes all 40 challenges and three family members agree to sponsor them, they will raise £6 in total.
Even though 5p per challenge is our suggested amount, it does not have to be exactly that, you can choose your amount. If you follow the QR code on the sponsor forms, you will be able to find your child’s year group fundraising page. The year group that raises the most money will also win a trip to the park before the end of the Summer term. If you would prefer, children can also bring their sponsorship money in cash on Monday 6th July to their class teacher.
So far this year, the Charity Committee has raised just over £2,000 for their chosen charities. With this final push, they hope to reach their target of £3,000, which means £1,000 for each charity they are supporting.
We look forward to hearing about all of the completed challenges and encourage you to take part alongside the children. If you capture any photos of the challenges being completed, or any of the artwork created, please do send them in. We would love to see them!
