The St Paul’s Prep Spelling Bee

The Thomas Gresham Committee are launching St Paul's first ever spelling bee and it's being held in the new St Paul's Prep building!

The St Paul's Prep School Spelling Bee is a fun and engaging competition, run by the Thomas Gresham Committee, that promotes literacy while raising money for the school's Thomas Gresham Founder's Award (Bursary). Pupils compete across several rounds, testing their spelling skills and raising money so that everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, has a chance to attend St Paul's.

Rules

• To enter: First, create your own Superkind page by clicking on the 'Join this Campaign' in the top left-hand corner. • Minimum sponsorship: £10. Open to all Prep School year groups.
• There will be 3 rounds: heats and semi-finals, which will take place during lunchbreaks to be confirmed (round one the week of 2nd March and round 2 the week of 9th March) and the final on Thursday 19 March at 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start.
• Parents and fellow pupils will be invited to come to the final to support entrants, taking place in the new Prep School, so it's a great chance to see the building in use! Ticket booking link to follow.
• Words increase in difficulty as rounds progress.
• Pupils may ask for the word to be repeated, used in a sentence, or defined.
• One incorrect spelling eliminates the pupil from the competition.
• Rounds continue until a specified number of pupils remain.
• The final remaining pupil is crowned the winner.
