Surbiton Girls’ Prep

The Charity Committee are excited to announce our Easter challenge, the sponsored Wheel-a-thon! It’s going to be a fantastic way to have fun, raise money for our school charities, and get everyone moving!

Our Easter challenge is inspired by WizzyBug, a charity that provides specially adapted powered wheelchairs for young children with disabilities, giving them more independence and freedom. The charity endeavours to improve mobility and create more opportunities for children to play, explore, and interact with the world around them.

So, here’s how it works:

Get Rolling: Your daughter can choose their favourite wheels (scooter, bike, skateboard, or rollerblades) and ride for as many minutes as they can.

Get Sponsored: Ask friends, family, and neighbours to sponsor your daughter for every minute they ride. The more they ride, the more they raise!

Support 3 Amazing Charities: All the funds raised will go to support our three school charities: WizzyBug, The Royal Marsden and SPEAR.

Donate online (here!) and/or bring in your form and cash: Share the link to this page for friends and family to donate directly online. Once your daughter has gathered their offline sponsorship funds, please return the completed sponsorship form and all cash by Monday 28th April to Miss Edwards, Mrs Ng or to the front desk.

Bonus: We’ll be having a friendly competition between KS1 and KS2 to see which Key Stage can rack up the most minutes. The winning Key Stage will earn extra break time as a reward for their efforts!

We hope your daughter is as excited as we are to take part in this fun, active event for a wonderful cause. Let’s see how many minutes we can roll for charity and have a blast while doing it!

All monies raised will be donated from Surbiton High School Girls Prep to our three school charities: Wizzybug, The Royal Marsden and SPEAR.
